There's Nothing Wrong with Being Nosey...

Ever fancied a little peek inside other people's prints boxes to see what little surprises they get? Well, now's your opportunity! All my wedding packages include a gorgeous wooden box, housing a wooden USB of all you images and a selection of 20 prints. But that’s not all! Oh no, every box is a little bit different because every couple also has a little surprise to discover inside too. I try to keep these personal to you, so perhaps you love tea and there are some handmade t

How To: Create a Classic Style for Your Wedding

So, Classic. What IS a classic style? Surely that's every wedding you've ever been to, because, like weddings, right?! Kind of. Mostly because most weddings have a touch of something that would be defined a classic style somewhere within them, but today I'm going to break it down for you bit by bit so that if you are decided that you'd like a classic style for your day, then you can have picture in your head of how you'd like to achieve it! Wait a minute, classic just means t

Do we really need an album?

With the ease of displaying and preserving digital images, I'm sure the majority of engaged couples question at some point: Do we really need an album? So, I'm just going to come out and say it: No, you don't. You don't need your images printed into a book to remember your day, or to enjoy the photos. The question should really be: will we enjoy an album? I don't include an album in my packages precisely because traditional albums don't suit everyone. If you know that you'd o

Surprise! The Secrets in The Wooden Print Box

The Print Box is included in my wedding packages, but most clients who "build their own" opt for this gorgeous way to receive their images anyway. So what's inside? Well, it's a pretty luxury and lovely way to receive your pictures as when you open the parcel you dig your way through the most beautiful recycled and unbleached sheep's wool - no bubble wrap here! The benefit of the wool is that not only is it incredible at protecting against bumps and bounces, but it also tempe

Kate & Will: A Wedding in Reigate

Are these two ever NOT laughing? Show me a wedding with more giggles and I don't know what I'd do with myself... Even I was crying with laughter during the speeches, but I think probably for the sake of privacy I shouldn't reveal the exact contents... suffice to say it included an unexpected first meeting between the Groom and Father of the Bride, a ruined pair of trousers, and a mortified Bride... Kate's family made me feel amazingly welcome from the moment I rocked up for b

    How to: An Ethical Wedding

So, when I was preparing for my own wedding I started thinking - how could we do this more ethically? The very nature of a wedding being a one day event, and in many cases an extravaganza of guests and details and expense means that inevitably there are waste issues, or worries about whether certain things are "worth it." So, how can we do things more ethically? What should we look for in an ethical supplier? How do we do the very best that we can do? So, with these questions

    N+J at Drayton Court Hotel

Nadine and Josh were so in love, their joy couldn't help but spread to all of those around them, despite the sweltering heat! Their Drayton Court Hotel was full of personal touches and some of the most impressive dance floor moves I've seen in a while! Both the girls and the guys all got ready in the hotel, but given the eye-watering heatwave, the boys did a last minute change in the hallway before the ceremony! Nadine was radiant, and certainly didn't look like she was 6 mo

    O + L Engagement Shoot

Ahhhh, golden hour. The 4 of us (me, O, L and Arlo!) set out just before 8pm onto Brookwood Country Park near Guildford for their engagement shoot with the aim of capturing them and some gorgeous evening glow. O+L booked me as they are both nervous in front of the camera, and felt I would be able to help them to relax for their couple photos and just blend in to the background for the rest of the day. In order to make them feel as comfortable as possible before their big day,

    J & M - A Royal DIY Wedding in Sussex

J & M had the most gorgeous sunshine to celebrate in, and were surrounded by such love and lovely people that it was honestly such a heartwarming, and perfect day. Forget the Royal Wedding, we were where the party was really at! J & M broke from tradition slightly in that they both got ready together, at home - M was expertly on hand preparing lunch for everyone and delivered it to J in en expert waiter style whilst she had her hair styled, good way to start the day if you a

Sabrina & James - Wedding at Shabbington Church & The Spread Eagle Hotel, Thame

What a ruddy honour to be asked to photograph Sabrina and James' wedding! You see, Sabrina grew up the other side of the sty from me (not a pig sty, the type you climb over! ... Although there did used to be a pig living behind the house, and her name was Annie...) and we've known each other for 25 years. Gosh, aren't we old?! So, to travel back to the tiny village we grew up in, and all the memories that held was a real treat, but also real pressure at the same time! Shabbin

Turn form into rhythm - a challenge

So, I promised a blog post on this, so here it is. I like to challenge myself, or use little prompts to make me create something different. It's so easy to fall into a rut by following what works and is well practiced, but it's exciting to try something new and certainly helps to keep the love alive! I speak about my camera like I'm in a relationship with it, maybe I am haha! So, I found this photo journal by Henry Carroll absolutely full of prompts and challenges, and as so
