Kirsty and Robbie: A Lockdown Micro-Wedding!

Remember when weddings weren’t allowed, but then they were, but then only 6 people? Well, Kirsty and Robbie eloped with their parents as witnesses to Reading Town Hall! It was certainly an experience for them in their planning, navigating ever changing rules, and for me it was a new experience to be strictly seated (no standing) in one spot to document the ceremony. But their ceremony was still full of love, still full of emotion, and still the beginning of their marriage. Th

    Poppy and Elliot: An Elopement

Wow. Poppy and Elliot eloped to Weybridge Register Office for a super sweet and intimate ceremony with their absolute closest family and friends. It was full of laughter the whole way through, and I really loved how they all came up to sit in the window and be close to each other for the second half of the ceremony after the ceremony. It felt so right, so relaxed and pretty perfect for them. I think a particular favourite moment was their friend skipping through the gardens w

Boats and Bow Ties: An Alternative DIY Wedding in Dorset

Jasmine and JC completely sold me on their super-relaxed vision for their day. They began their day at The Kings Arm's in Christchurch with the ceremony in a small pavilion, surrounded by the Priory, gardens and ruins. The sunshine was absolutely beyond glorious (I really ought to move to this Bournemouth microclimate) which was particularly fortune given what they had planned for their arrival to their reception... but more on that later. JC and his boys were all sporting wo

Kate & Will: A Wedding in Reigate

Are these two ever NOT laughing? Show me a wedding with more giggles and I don't know what I'd do with myself... Even I was crying with laughter during the speeches, but I think probably for the sake of privacy I shouldn't reveal the exact contents... suffice to say it included an unexpected first meeting between the Groom and Father of the Bride, a ruined pair of trousers, and a mortified Bride... Kate's family made me feel amazingly welcome from the moment I rocked up for b

    N+J at Drayton Court Hotel

Nadine and Josh were so in love, their joy couldn't help but spread to all of those around them, despite the sweltering heat! Their Drayton Court Hotel was full of personal touches and some of the most impressive dance floor moves I've seen in a while! Both the girls and the guys all got ready in the hotel, but given the eye-watering heatwave, the boys did a last minute change in the hallway before the ceremony! Nadine was radiant, and certainly didn't look like she was 6 mo

Styled Shoot at Slade's Farm: The Fallow Barn and Georgian Water Gardens

This summer I had the exciting opportunity to capture the new wedding venue at Slade's Farm in Bramley, near Guildford, Surrey. With a team of suppliers, we set out to show what The Fallow Barn and Georgian Water Gardens can do, as it'll be amazing for both intimate wedding weekends, and larger wild parties! My lovely pair of models (Adam and Ginny) were showcasing an intimate and quirky styling, with a BHLDN dress from Bridal Indulgence in Crondall, Surrey, vintage tea crock

    O + L Engagement Shoot

Ahhhh, golden hour. The 4 of us (me, O, L and Arlo!) set out just before 8pm onto Brookwood Country Park near Guildford for their engagement shoot with the aim of capturing them and some gorgeous evening glow. O+L booked me as they are both nervous in front of the camera, and felt I would be able to help them to relax for their couple photos and just blend in to the background for the rest of the day. In order to make them feel as comfortable as possible before their big day,

    And so it begins...

Where did what begin? Well, this blog begins here - hello Blogosphere! I figured for a first post, it might be fitting to go back to where photography began for me. Honestly, it started with my grandad. He played golf, created masterpieces of woodwork, and often held his camera in his hand (when he wasn't talking with his hands, he did a lot of that...) He would sit us down after holidays and show us slide after slide up on a projector screen in the living room, and I didn't
